Yesterday, Martin (friend-student) and I went to Likemind for some chatting and coffee. I love likemind, but one of the advantages of teaching is not having to be in the city at 8:30 on a Friday, so I don't attend as often as I'd like. It was a good gathering as always though.
We then headed back to Marin to pick-up Mary, Sam and his friend Leo to do some West Marin exploring. We drove up Hwy. 1 to Point Reyes Station hoping to be in time for the Cowgirl Creamery tour. Unfortunately, it was all full so we just wandered around the town, bought another skimboard and grabbed some lunch at Pine Cone Diner. I can recommend the Fried Oyster Sandwich.
We then headed to Limantour beach for some excellent skimboarding and chilling. Pics. It was the first time for both Leo and I to jump on a skimboard. I think we all agreed that we wanted more skimboarding time in our future.
The day capped off with a stop at Fairfax Scoop. Martin a self-described ice cream snob, agreed that it is tough to beat the scoop. I think I am officially reset to enjoy the summer.
