If you have not been. Check out the Ted talks on Rethinking Poverty. They are eye-opening sure, but more importantly, they are mind opening.

If movies aren't your thing ... and you prefer reading kick-ass magazines. Get a subscription to Good Magazine and apply your "subscription fee" to Kiva (like we did) or Acumen Fund or Malaria No More (seriously, people are dying of malaria and I just bought a new cell phone. I'm a shit.)

Or just continue to do nothing about it. That's the easiest thing. Doing nothing.
