Today, we spent some time at the Petaluma Pumpkin Patch. While we did not get pumpkins for the annual Maddux festivities, we did have fun in the corn maze, which we actually completed this year, unlike 2 years ago.
Before going to Petaluma, we went to Workspace Limited's Open Studios. Sam's friend Leo has fabulous parents who we adore. His dad is an artist who had one of the open studios. His work is incredible and has to be seen to truly appreciate. My favorite works of his are these giant technology-laden canvases coated in this beautiful bronze grime. I feel steampunk from it. I have a piece hanging in my imaginary Whiskey & Smokes writing lab. (One day I hope to have a real place with a real piece hanging in it.)

I'm a HUGE steampunk fan. Maybe someday I'll be rich enough to purchase one of his pieces.
