I had a quick available second to upload some pics, while Ian does this.
Oh, I hear movement ... time for more playing! Later.

Limantour fun
Yesterday, Martin (friend-student) and I went to Likemind for some chatting and coffee. I love likemind, but one of the advantages of teaching is not having to be in the city at 8:30 on a Friday, so I don't attend as often as I'd like. It was a good gathering as always though.
We then headed back to Marin to pick-up Mary, Sam and his friend Leo to do some West Marin exploring. We drove up Hwy. 1 to Point Reyes Station hoping to be in time for the Cowgirl Creamery tour. Unfortunately, it was all full so we just wandered around the town, bought another skimboard and grabbed some lunch at Pine Cone Diner. I can recommend the Fried Oyster Sandwich.
We then headed to Limantour beach for some excellent skimboarding and chilling. Pics. It was the first time for both Leo and I to jump on a skimboard. I think we all agreed that we wanted more skimboarding time in our future.
The day capped off with a stop at Fairfax Scoop. Martin a self-described ice cream snob, agreed that it is tough to beat the scoop. I think I am officially reset to enjoy the summer.

Chihuly love
1) It always reminds me of first moving to Chicago. The city was strongly promoting the exhibition at Garfield Conservatory. Viewing the beautiful glass pieces among the diverse botanical life and captivating architecture of the Garfield is one of the uniquely remarkable visual moments of my life. Chihuly and Chicago are always closely linked in my brain. They both appreciate design, nature, art and diversity.
2) I am sure the two things that are mentioned most often on this blog is our nature experiences/hikes and comics/geek culture. I am incredibly passionate about both perusing nature and escaping in fantastical stories. Walking through a Chihuly exhibit captures the attention of both of those parts of my identity.
3) It is incredibly approachable. Chihuly is like a well-produced Shakespeare play; nearly anyone can appreciate it. Rarely do you get to watch small children and art snobs walking around staring at the same thing with mouths agape.
OK, I could probably go on ... but I need to get Mary to the city. Go see Chihuly.

Renal Colic
+ The pain is intense and comes on suddenly.
+ It is usually located in the flank or the side of the mid back and radiates to the groin. Those affected cannot find a comfortable position, and many writhe in pain.
Last night, I experienced renal colic. It sucked. I think I made this face ... but less happiness implied.
OK ... I really need to find less pee-related things to blog about today.

Just a few small stones
No need for further concerns. Thanks for all warm wishes and concern.
Much love.
Off to go read with Sam in the park.

Nothing to report
I went to the urologist this evening. Nothing new to report. They want me to get a kidney x-ray on Friday. If that comes up negative, they want to check out my bladder ... and there is no fun way to do that! I'll keep you up to date. I've not had blood or anything else unusual going on urinary since last Friday. Weeeeee!
